“This is not a joke. I’m trapped inside my gold Honda Odyssey van in the parking lot of Seven Hills Hillsdale.” Those are pretty good instructions, IMHO. The fact the local cops marked the job "complete" a couple times indicates some pretty severe incompetence.

911 is generally pretty useless - I've called into Dallas PD a couple times before when intersection lights were out, and they told me they don't do traffic. Cops that don't direct traffic. The first thing almost anyone (used to) associate with a police officer!!
But, if the kid was able to call 911 and not get help, did he not try calling his parents/friends/anyone else right after? Was 911 the only number he called? Twice?
