Oh, please. That pedestrian mall is an embarrassment. Who wants to sit on 42nd & Broadway? Taxis going mad trying to circumvent it, the Naked Cowboy embarrassing himself, dopey tourists going into the Disney Store and Olive Garden! Meanwhile, the Broadway actors are always late getting to their jobs because of marauding crowds blocking the whole area. It's a complete disaster. Not to mention all the wonderful little restaurants that were pushed out when Mr. Guiliani turned this gritty area into a bland playhouse for the hayseeds.

I agree its too crowded with people buying things and enjoying themselves. The obvious solution is to reallocate even more space to people.
