Given that the Boy Scouts capitulated on the issue of gay scout leaders under pressure from corporate sponsors, what is the realistic plan for reversing the BSA’s gay stance and its welcoming-of-girls stance? The BSA would lose every single one of its corporate sponsors if it jettisoned either of these policies. Given that the policies were changed in the first place to KEEP corporate sponsors, why would the organization now be willing to lose all of its corporate sponsors?
I share your disgust at what has happened to the Boy Scouts, but I see no chance whatsoever there will be a reversal.
