The last show you saw in a theater was the first Jurassic Park? You must live somewhere quite remote. I hope you have access to a hospital, just in case.
I remember drive-ins! They were especially great when you have kids since they don’t have to be particularly quiet and can fall asleep in the back seat if they are bored. Brings back old memories of me being that kid.
Actually, we live north of Dallas, Tx a short distance from the Okla. state line. When we moved up there was little here, a post office but no grocery, few retail stores. Closest was 30-45 minutes from us. Denton to the west of us (30-45 min) McKinney to the east (30-45 min.) A good deal of traffic is now on the surrounding roads and highways - terrible drivers! We’ve modernized. Now we have a grocery and a city park A fast growing town about 30 min. south of us. Frisco is filled with eateries, grocers, retail, but no theaters :-(
Denton drive in closed sometime during the last 15-20 years.
McKinney had closed its theater before we even arrived. It had been transformed into a very NICE restaurant.
Correction, on the Jurassic Park comment. My bad: believe I was mistaken as the X-Files movie (first movie) was seen when it came out. And that was long after the JP film. LOL - a YUGE X-files fan here. :-)
