Rules:
  1. Walk towards the firefight and shoot first. Steal the initiative.
  2. Frame leftists as the bad people they are. They have an evil philosophy of taking stuff from productive people while contributing nothing. They know this so leftists try to frame themsleves as superior people.
  3. Frame the debate, e.g. why do you think a child doesn't deserve a mother and a father?
  4. Attack inconsistencies in the left's arguments. What the left actually believes is reprehensible so that they evade their real beliefs.
  5. Force the left to answer questions. Take the offense. If you are on the defense you are losing. Put them on the defense. Leftists hate answering questions. It forces them to think which is not their strong suit.
  6. Don't get distracted by the lefts red-herrings. E.g. Obama's foreign policy is terrible. The left responds well...Bush, which is irrelevant to the here and now. Don't follow them down their rabbit holes.
  7. If you don't know something admit it right off the bat. [digression into Trump bashing which is a red herring from his own argument]. The left doesn't know many facts, but they usually know one, however irrelevant.
  8. Don't get sucked into the paradigm of justifying positions that you don't like and don't hold, e.g. don't defend RR on amnesty or ... Don't idoloize politicians.
  9. Immigration reform doesn't equal you hate Mexicans. The left picks terms that you have to like...E.g. are you for hope and change? Make the left clarify its terms.
  10. Body language matters. If you get angry you lose. Democrats train in body language. E.g. BJC's elevator button push to make a point rather than coming across as lecturing or being accusatory.

And none of this is going to change their beliefs or their minds so why bother?

I don’t argue with idiots.

While these strategies are wise, they won’t work against leftists or Gullibles. Leftists are sneaky and will just keep coming back with their pet phrases and call you names. Leftism is their religion. You can’t use these 10 tactics to argue against a Christian that Christianity is wrong / doesn’t exist. So neither can logical tactics help you win against a believing leftist.

You will madden a Gullible. They will start to see their belief in leftism they sucked from their tv and peers is built on nothing, and they will dig in and defend and again resort to ad hominem. I do not think anything but day in day out neutral logic pounding will convince a Gullible that they were gullible.

I was a Gullible. I was supposed to be a liberal according to every mainstream thing I read or saw, so I was one. I didn’t really care but I wanted to be correct so I went with it, because EducationalSystemFrom2to22. Right? How did I become a common sense conservative, then? No conservative tried one on one to logically sway me.

1. I had a baby. Started to think about what I wanted for him. Common sense and goodness started to creep in when I thought about the world for someone whom I loved more than anything.
2. I got laid off in a socialist country. This was the #1 thing that drove me to principles of economic freedom. I got to stay home with my baby full time and earn 90% of my salary, then it went down to 80%, then at 2 years it was around 70%. My best friend was doing the same thing with her baby. It just wasn’t right.
3. I had heard of this radio Shock Jock Rush Limbaugh. I tuned in to hear the monster I’d heard about when I got back to the states. What? Where was the raving lunacy? I actually agreed with everything he said, he was funny, and I didn’t “go on the defensive” alone in my car. I just kept listening. And agreeing. And starting to read more about politics on my own and come to some new conclusions.

That last point is huge because when an individual you KNOW comes at you, you of course gather a defensive attitude. When some guy is blabbing on the radio, you are more receptive because no one is watching. Sure, you can yell at the radio, but maybe one day you don’t any more because the guy just said something smart and funny and true...
