Somewhat ironic that this is a UK article - a nation not known for their overall dental hygiene, though I'm not sure how true this stereotype actually is these days.
I force myself to go to the dentist every six months for a cleaning. I absolutely hate going to the dentist but years ago, when I went through a period of neglect, I needed major work done including a root canal. Since the six month cleanings, my teeth have been in pretty good shape and I have a good chance of keeping them for rest of my life.
Still, that high pitched drill they use at cleanings just goes through my skull. That's the worst part of it for me.
