I had a car a few years ago that had some kind of advanced cruise control.Basically it was claimed that you could set the speed and the car would remain at that speed and would automatically slow down and even stop completely if traffic required and,once conditions allowed,it would resume the pre-set speed.
I tried it once or twice and didn't like it at all.It was herky-jerkey and more than a bit scary.And the car in question was a well respected make...it wasn't some kind of Kia or Mitsubishi.
I doubt that I'll ever trust any kind of automatic driving.

Will not happen...ever.
I want to drive....even when I'm with someone who I trust.
