Put people in charge who know more about beer than they do wine coolers, steak than Soy products, and sci if than they do about 3rd wave feminism.

The author feels that the movie “Solo” may “turn Star Wars into something it has never been before: an ideological platform”? Interesting confession of the author’s expertise on Star Wars.

Scripts are being driven by SJWs with agenda.

'Art' by committee.

“Disney seem even more determined to turn Star Wars into something it has never been before: an ideological platform...”

They caught grief when the first Star Wars had no blacks in it. They caught grief because the clones in “The Clone Wars” looked like wetback Mexicans. (Dunno...didn’t see it) So it really is nothing new that someone gets their panties in a wad over Star Wars. Disney will just make the next one even more gay.

The whole point of Lucas selling rights to Disney:

1) Lucas is through with it artistically, so he cashes out and moves on.
2) Disney milks it to death.
The only question is how long does it take to milk it to death.

There are many in our era who speak unceasingly of bringing about "social justice." They never describe what a "socially justified culture" will look like. Why should they want to? Because for big-P Progressivism to be consistent, it must be progressing toward something. To state conditions for victory? That would be aborting Progressivism. That is not part of the plan.

Radical Progressivism has spawned a social revolution whose adherents cannot provide a decisive objective. It is not possible. The inevitable mission of Progressivism is not to win a battle within society, but to wage continuous war upon it. All that comes to matter is upheaval never-ending. To find justification for the cause. If none exists, one is created.

So it is that there must always be "enemies of the people" to correct or crush or crucify. The words betray a dark intent: "obey us, or we will destroy you."

Nailed it.

The SJWs will never end their war. They don't know how and they wouldn't if they could.

Lucas killed it when he had Bush derangement and called the Dark Side people who support Bush. He sold it to Disney suckers.

Disney needs to be deep-sixed. The entire organization is crawling with sexual deviants and predators. Disney has a history of covering up not only serious accidents at its theme parks - including fatalities - but also hiding the truth of employees who have molested children. Yet parents continue to expose their children to these damned reprobates.

Everything “New” Disney touches, it turns to sh*t.

They wrecked Star Wars.
They wrecked Star Trek.
They have wrecked every classic Disney film.

And, in each case, the “reinvented” main characters, making sexual deviants of them, and thus destroying the original casting so to advance the progressive’s twisted agenda.
Disney Studios deserves to burn to the ground.

Poor Walt must be turning in his cryogenic tube.

“Disney seem even more determined to turn Star Wars into something it has never been before: an ideological platform...”

I’ll admit that pushing forced-in sexual identities and racial quotas was indeed unprecedented regarding the films at least, prior to Disney taking over (it was during the late EU that we got crap like that).

However, even back in 1973, Lucas created Star Wars largely as an ideological platform. Specifically, he wanted to ingrain into the populace, especially the little kids, that America was bad, and the Vietcong were noble warriors. Oh, and that Nixon was bad, having a standing state military at all, let alone using it, was bad, and that the fascists were conservatives. Not only did he himself repeatedly insist on this (which is in fact one of the rare instances where his claims actually WERE backed up by development notes that he wrote), but both Ian McDiarmid and Walter Murch vouched this as well (plus Chris Taylor in his book on Star Wars’ success story). And don’t get me started on the Prequels which were full-on GOP bashing (I’d mention Bush bashing, but that technically didn’t occur until Revenge of the Sith, while the GOP as a whole was bashed in the Prequels via the Trade Federation, which Lucas intended to be since 8 days into writing The Phantom Menace to be stand ins for Gingrich’s 1994 Republican Revolution).
