She was not “body-shaming” her. She just noticed that Barrymore had gotten really fat and assumed it was because she was pregnant.

I learned a long time ago never to assume that a woman is pregnant (at least not out loud) even if she appears to be about to go into labor.

Some people just don’t know when to shut up or mind their own business. I remember when I was two months pregnant with my sixth child, my mother actually told me I was fat. I was 107 lbs and 5’7”. I mean, REALLY? I have eight now and when we all go out, the comments can be irritating. I’m just thankful it’s not as bad as it used to be where we live now.

Drew Barrymore seems like a generally reasonable person. She was cursed with horrible genes, coming from a long line of notorious drug addicts and alcoholics. She overcame her addictions against all odds; that alone signifies that she must have some higher power beyond her self.

She has demons, but at least she has not chosen a barren womb; Choosing life counts for a lot these days. She is an attractive woman blessed with a lovely smile. She may not be swimsuit material for SI but she has greater gift, that of raising her two daughters. It will be a great responsibility knowing that they are probably are tainted by addictive genes too.
