” I sick and tired of slothful gluttons who chose to ruin their health.”

Many are genetically different, neither slothful or glutinous.

I come from a family of thin people-—and my kids and grandkids are all thin.

I have always been able to eat anything I want without gaining weight. I lucked out in the gene pool, some have not been so lucky.

Thank you. I have had the opposite experience. I was your normal, skinny kid; then, I hit puberty and wham, I had a weight problem. In my twenties, I was able to starve myself to thin-ness; but, after I had kids it was difficult.

I have tried every diet there is; but, none work. I used to be able to lose a few pounds; but, now I can't even do that. Occasionally, my body decides I need to have even more fat on my body, and it just gains weight -- I don't change my habits, it just happens.

Now, I am sure that there are people out there who still believe the bogus calories in/calories out stuff; and, they think I am lying about this. But, I am not. I really don't eat that much. And, as I've gotten older (I am 63), I am getting that old person's thing of not having much of an appetite.

I do not "chose" to ruin my health, and, in fact, I am quite healthy except for my weight. And, my knees are needing help; but, the doctors tell me that because my BMI is off, I don't get help. This is who I am, since puberty, it is who I have always been. Diets don't work for me; and, in some cases they seem to exacerbate the problem. I don't think anyone really understands why some people can eat anything and stay slim, and some people, like me, eat very little but look like we eat boxes of chocolates all day.

genes are a small part, but it’s mostly stress and the chemical imbalances that happen due to people not handleing stress well so the body doesn’t metabolize the same as it should, or people outright turning to food in times of stress.

Just pbecause some of us have more imbalance does not mean we can’t do some thing about it. Diets etc mess up our systems even more, make us more out of balance some times, thats why lose some then easily gain it back.

sleep is hugely important to weight loss and management yet so many people don’t get enough and laugh it off like it’s no big deal.

many of us are killing ourselves, - we are choosing to ruin our lives, a slow death by unhealthy choices in areas of sleep, stress, food, exercise, flexibility etc
