Matthew 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

The word “many” and “false prophets” appear together so often in Scripture that this tells us that there won’t be a lot or several of them but “many,” meaning not a few. Jesus warns us about this “many” in this same chapter of Matthew 24 where He says “and many false prophets will appear and lead many astray” (Matt 24:11). The Apostle John also says “many” (1st John 4:1), Peter says “many will follow” them (2nd Pet 2:2) and in Jeremiah’s day there were also very many so this is not a select few that the writers were talking about but “many false prophets” and there seems to be no shortage of them today just as Jesus warned that there would be “many false prophets” who will “lead many astray” or I would say they will lead many away…from the truth that is.

Yes Taylor's just another one 'selling' his wares to those who are unfamiliar or have limited understanding of scripture. Also many of these charlatans are connected to each another and just regurgitate the same 'feel good' junk.....they also attract those caught up in the "spirituality" movements that have popped up.

Any group proclaiming ‘miraculous signs and wonders’ should be avoided as Jesus clearly warned about these 'counterfeits'.....Additionally signs and wonders are limited to the age of the apostles. This doesn't mean miracles don't happen. It just means they are not the typical or normal way ministry is to be done. The healing ministry of Jesus and the apostles was unique. Signs and wonders were not done by Christians in general, but were the signs of the apostles. Likely this is why they've hitched up to the Apostle/Prophet idea to give credibility to what they claim. Counterfeiters always mask the reality of who they really are.

Absolutely they were-

I believe TRUE supernatural spectacular miracles do not happen today (Not that they couldn’t through God- but God I believe has chosen not to work this way in the church age for His purposes)- (Yes, some people appear to ‘come back from the dead’ but this could be due to natural means, ie, there was just enough life left in them- even though they were clinically declared dead- doctors do make mistakes, and these things can be written down to natural occurrences- is it possible they are true miracles? Yes, but it’s also possible they are natural happenings- True miracles were not possible naturally) but I’m talking about true spectacular miracles that can’t be written down to natural events- like 3 day dead folks rising from grave- Jesus restoring the ear that peter cut off- walking on water- commanding the weather- Caused water to turn into wine- Told people things they were keeping secret from others- (read their hearts) - Multiplied 5 loaves of bread and 5 fish to feed the masses- etc- these are all indisputably supernatural events that could not happen naturally. It’s true that Jesus and apostles did miracles that could perhaps be construed as naturally possible, but they also did miracles that could not have happened naturally as well- today’s ‘healers’ who claim they have the power of the Spirit to do miracles can’t claim that- I’ve heard of no account of a healer restoring a severed ear or limb for that matter- Nor of anyone walking on water or commanding the weather- nor turning water into wine-

I believe God still does spectacular healing- but for His own reasons, He does not work through people these days to do truly supernatural miracles That can’t be explained any other way than being truly supernatural-

I know people claim things like “The congregation prayed for me and my cancer was healed- however, people’s cancers go into remission all the time- naturally- and God does heal through natural means all the time in response to prayer- but for true miracles, these are not done through people claiming to be apostles or prophets today
