What’s wrong with it?
The survey mentioned in the article was about world war II casualties, not about so called great purge.

And I don’t think average Americans will hold FDR liable for attack of Pearl Harbor.

Should we feel Worrisome?

It is a rewriting of history that attempts to erase the incredible, unimaginable cruelty and suffering that Stalin was almost completely and directly responsible for. You do not think that think that there is anything wrong with that?

And I don’t think average Americans will hold FDR liable for attack of Pearl Harbor.

That is because the “average American” didn't grow up with a career soldier who was a combat veteran who joined in 1938 and served into the Vietnam period. The average Russian no longer knows someone who lived through the Siege of Leningrad who still lives near my wife and I to this day. The “average American” didn't grow up in a situation with people who still had vivid memories of the Roosevelt administration. The “average American” is not a student of history. The “average American” like the average Russian can be influenced by glitzy propaganda.

FDR was a serial liar. This can be easily proven if you listen to his recorded radio messages or watch motion picture footage of his campaign speeches from before WWII. Then compare his rhetoric to the actual actions of his administration during the same time period. He was as every bit as untruthful as Obama and the Clintons. And many of those who opposed him paid a terrible price.
