He could’ve easily stopped it if he’d simply refuse to do it. Dude wasnt hurting for money. He chose to assassinate his own character’s character for cash. He could’ve fought Disney on the direction of that nonsense.
I am sure e did not no the story when he took the money when he found out backing out of the project would of been expensive for him.
