I’ve come to realize that Trump one of the few viability possiblilities who had a teflon enough hide to repel the media lies and attacks of the candidates. I still think that Cruz would have made a much more conservative president; unapologitically so. Additionally, there were certain men who didn’t run who I would have lied to see. One was Dr. Alan Keyes.

Much more?

In what way(s) would Cruz have been any more conservative than Trump has been?

I'm not talking about comportment and demeanor. I'm talking about executing the duties of the office.

For one thing, I think Hillary would already be in prison if Cruz had been elected. Trump immediately backed off of that promise.

It wasn't Trump who backed off. It was his feckless AG, Jeff Sessions, who recused himself from any and all investigations pertaining to the 2016 election.

There's also no guarantee that Hillary would be imprisoned by now, no matter who had been elected president. Even with a full-blown, agressive investigation, there's such a thing as due process, which takes time.

There is also the matter of politics, which unfortunately, plays a very large part in these kinds of things. Going after Hillary would (or will) engender a level of push-back from the establishment and the political left, such has never been witnessed in this country.

Toppling Hillary would result in a domino effect of historic proportions. Hundreds of co-conspirators, their accomplices, and complicit enablers, would be caught up in the web of indictments and prosecutions. The full scope of such an endeavor would be mind boggling, and would likely bring down half the government. It would also rip this country asunder, and would likely be the catalyst for actual civil war.

And you think we would have gotten to that point in a scant eighteen months, if Cruz had been elected? Sorry, but that's not even close to being realistic.

Do you think Cruz could have already had the judicial part of
placing her in prison complete by now? No way.

Stop padding this. Trump BACKED OFF of calling for Hillary’s prosecution. That was his first big mistake.

Would I vote for him again? In a heartbeat.

That doesn’t make him beyond criticism. In fact, my voting for him gives me every right to criticize him for his shortcomings.

Being a slobbering Trump sycophant is just as bad or worse than being a NeverTrumper.

I might be sorry for voting for the Bushes, except I never had to say these words:

President Michael Dukakis
President Albert Gore, Jr.
President John F. Kerry

If any of those had ever happened and it avoided the Kenyanesian Usurpation, it would have been worth it.

I cannot make my vote today on some unexpected event to come. I can only defeat the current opposition with my vote today.

Besides, if Jack Ryan would have been faithful to Seven-of-nine, we may have never heard of the community organizer.

Until Trump can safely jettison Jeffy Magoo, he'll continue to call her "Crooked Hillary" in his tweetstorms. That's about all he can do, with a recused AG in place.

When he gets a real AG in place, and has cleaned up the upper ranks of the DOJ and FBI, he can then openly call for investigating her.

It's still going to be a very long process, though. Even if agressively pursued, this will stretch into Trump's second term.
