i did not anything about SP when she was brought on. I certainly loved the fact that the lefties hated her! I figured she was doing something right.

“I didn’t commit to vote for Donald Trump until after a couple of debates.”

I was the same way. I was an unapologetic Cruz supporter and I questioned Trump’s conservative bona fides on several issues.

I was prepared to vote for the Constitution Party’s nominee but decided “You can keep pure to your beliefs or you can let Hillary get elected - and you know she’ll never support anything you believe in”.

So I voted for Trump.

Yeah, it’s like being a Frenchmen and saying you were in the French Resistance. After the war, everybody said they were. But only a fraction of the able-bodied really were.

When Trump nails 2020, watch how many on the left will insist they secretly pulled the lever for Trump in 2016. It may even be true for a few folks. But it will be very convenient for most.

Regardless of Party, _everybody_ wants to claim they were on the winning team when it all works out. It takes a real mensch to admit they were wrong. I was originally for Walker, pulled for Cruz in the Primary, but didn’t hesitate to pull for Trump in the 2016 general.

If you find somebody, tell them to write to the New York Times, as they'll surely get published.

You can google stories. Some of them may be fake news.

It also depends on the question people are asked. People who say they disapprove of the president's performance may not regret the way they voted, though media outlets will jump to the conclusion that they do.

Plus, celebrities who didn't vote for Trump but did defend him at some point or other can get presented as regretful Trump voters by shameless web pages.

If you are looking for regretful Trump voters places to look according to the Internet are: millennials, Trump voters who voted for Obama the last two times, soybean farmers and Caitlyn Jenner.

Foam Boy had a shamnesty dalliance but backed away. Unfortunately, I accepted that and thought it over. Should have known better.

But President Trump is a revelation to date. An amazing focus on getting results for American and Americans.

He’s not going to stop either.

Trump is the best vote I ever cast. I AM sorry I ever voted for ANY Bush.

Same here. I also regret voting for McShame and Mittens. I honestly do not think either of them were better than the alternative.

I think I may have earlier than that. A while ago I tried to go back to find my first post supporting Trump but gave up because I couldn’t figure out how to it.

Well I used to think red votes in blue states didnt matter much but if the Left is gonna always scream “popular vote, popular vote!!” Then I think we should all vote no matter what and get Trump the popular vote in 2020 so we can take that little argument away from the dems. Winning is best by why not shove the popular vote in their face as well.

Folks, remember that the entire vote margin responsible for his win over Hillary was only 107,500 well-placed votes.

Every vote that swayed and finally landed on Donald Trump gave our country a respite from everything all of us FReepers have agonized over for years.

I thank each of you and all the others who came over and I thank those who are becoming awakened and standing behind Trump at this time, too.

I voted for Trump, but only because the alternative was Hillary.

I still don’t think his temperament is always the best way to handle things, but I like him much more than I ever thought I would because of one thing.

He fights. Unlike all other Republicans who just accept the media and Democrats narrative on everything, he fights back.

The Republicans have needed a fighter for so long. Bush, McCain, and Romney (who let Candy Crowley kick his butt) were pushovers for the Media.

Trump fights.

Rubio hasn’t changed his mind at all.
He is still fully committed to the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).

As are Graham and Alexander who are coming up for election in 2020.

They are not going to stop either if we do not remove them from office.

On Election Night I went to bed with the pundits planning Madam Benghazi's coronation. Every couple of hous I'd wake up and look at the Headlines, until I saw "President-Elect Trump to address the Nation". I had to jump up and celebrate! I've been smiling ever since!

I NEVER thought ANYONE would ever come close to The Gipper, but President Trump is right there beside him!

As one of the “Never Trump” guys up to about a week before the 2016 election, I have made a complete and total turn around to being a fully dedicated supporter of perhaps the greatest President in my lifetime.

Interestingly, just yesterday I had a discussion with the gentleman who owns one of the two liquor stores in my town. He was a pro-Hillary voter who I had many discussions with prior to the election. Since that day, I did not bring up the subject at all, nor has he. Yesterday, we did talk about the election. I asked him what he is thinking now that we are into the first year and a half of President Trump’s administration. He told me that he is quite impressed with what President Trump has been able to accomplish considering all of the Media, democrats and the RINOs working against him. He said that he admires President Trump and his willingness to fight for what he believes in and for the benefit of the country. Although he did say that he is not 100% on board, I see that he is trending in this direction.

How about that? I know that he is NOT an isolated or even a rare example.

President Trump has demonstrated to me, beyond any doubt, that he IS the right man, at the right time and in the right place. God Bless him and his lovely wife!

Amen and you’re welcome! Up until the moment I finally pulled for Trump, I was afraid he would be another politician who said all the right things but would ultimately govern as an establishment figurehead—same as the Bushes, McCain, Romney, and so many others had done.

But Trump did the one thing none of them ever did: he stayed the same course in the general as he did in the primary. He didn’t tack to the center the way everyone else had done and then either stayed there or even moved further to the left after he won! He stayed the course and really hasn’t changed. I’m very confident the President’s spots won’t change between now and 2020 and I can hardly wait to vote for him again!

“I think I may have earlier than that.”

try to figure it out.

Reno89519 is in the hunt too. He was early but I still think I beat him with May 2015. At least a month before announcement.

Nope but, I know people who claim to know others who regret their vote or are still Never Trumpers...

Can’t assess the veracity of the claim as these people are apparently invisible like the voices in their head...

I feel the way about Trump Lincoln felt about Grant

When I said everything that could be said from my standpoint, we lapsed into silence. Lincoln remained silent for what seemed a very long time. He then gathered himself up in his chair and said in a tone of earnestness that I shall never forget,(about Grant) "I can't spare this man, he fights."

“Trump did not announce until June 16.”

That’s my point.

He started beating around the bush in April 2015. I started advocating for him here shortly thereafter.

I think about this same question all the time! Glad you asked. My answer is a resounding NO I have not. Odd, isn’t it? Granted that I live in a slice of heaven (Texas Hill Country)where the children are still taught to respect the position of the POTUS. When Obama held the office we simply avoided all conversation about him. After 8 of the longest years imaginable, I foolishly believed that with Trump’s election we would be able to poke just a little fun of him by now. (Good-naturedly, of course) Sadly, that is my only regret. We can’t afford the levity of any comic relief because the other side is rife with homicidal, vitriolic madmen who would butcher those who voted for him.
