Years ago, I read “The Strange Death of Vincent Foster” by Christopher Ruddy.

There were so many odds and strange thing surrounding his death, for example, the actual “death” scene and the fact that Hillary Clinton and others went thru his office not long after his death.

Maybe some day we’ll find out the truth about why he died and who did it.

I remember all the crime scene photos were accidentally over-exposed and didn't come out. Then the autopsy photos were accidentally left near an x-ray machine down at the coroner's office that wiped them out.

Yep, and then they couldn't find Vince Foster's keys. How did he drive to the park? Luckily (shortly after Hillary Clinton Security Advisor Craig Livingston examined the body) they found the keys after all. They were in Foster's pocket!

There was a Polaroid that an officer took of the gun that escaped all the photo accidents. It didn't match up with the gun Foster owned but hey; maybe he found it at the park, right?

There's only about 100 things that don't add up in this case.

“Yep, and then they couldn’t find Vince Foster’s keys. How did he drive to the park? Luckily (shortly after Hillary Clinton Security Advisor Craig Livingston examined the body) they found the keys after all. They were in Foster’s pocket!”

Ruddy’s description of the car keys was the main thing that I remember from that book. The park police reported stuff in Foster’s pants pockets including matchbook and how many pennies were there, but no mention of any keys. When I’ve mentioned Vince Foster’s death in recent years, I usually say “He was in such a hurry to drive to Fort Marcy Park that he forgot his car keys.”

That the current Supreme Court nominee was part of what seems a clear-as-can-be coverup of Vince Foster’s death is something that every FReeper (and every other American, too) should understand. Alas, as a recent Weekly Standard story put it, few care about the Vince Foster story these days.

Oh, Kehoe, didn’t the FBI investigate this suicide/murder?

Wasn’t Mueller’s face in there somewhere?

Whitewater, the FBI files, and the Foster suicide showed us the media would not hold Democrats to the same rules as the GOP. They had always electioneered for them, but this showed the double standards applied to everything.

Hi Appy - Well, it's true enough that I've forgotten much more detail than I remember about the Clinton administration, but I see a quote from the Fiske report which specifies that the keys were found in Foster's pants pocket (the article elsewhere mentions right front pocket) http://prorev.com/foster.htm.

Have you ever met a fellow FReeper in person? I had the pleasure to attend a FReeper rally on the mall in DC in the 1990s -- "March for Justice" it was called. It was a fine Saturday full of fellowship and a good lineup of speakers. The next day, a few of us took a tour of Fort Marcy Park. I took the Chris Ruddy book with me and a bunch of the folks signed it, using their FreeRepublic user IDs. I'd list them here, but the book has been in a box since my wife and I retired and moved to a much smaller home with little shelf space for books. That rally was the first time I heard Amb. Alan Keyes speak. I was delighted to vote him for President in the Republican primary in 2000, and was especially delighted when I learned in 2007 he was running again. I continued to support Dr. Keyes after McCain had accumulated enough delegates to win the 2008 nomination, and was again delighted to cast my presidential vote for Dr Keyes as a write-in candidate in 2008 general election.

One thing I didn't leave in a box was the joint statement of candidacy that Dr. Keyes and I signed in 2008 for the purpose of having the write-in votes for him count in Virginia that year. That document is hanging on my office wall, along with a photo of my Dad and a photo of Bonecrusher Smith, who's one of my new friends and business partners (does anybody really retire any more?).

Yes. I was working security at the March for Justice and I led a tour of Ft Marcy Park.
