Marchionne just isn't decisive enough to play at this level. The generally poor quality of all FCA vehicles is evidence.

Have they generally gotten worse? My impression is that they were always iffy on reliability. To fix it would require that they hire people experienced in TQM to completely change the manufacturing culture of both Fiat and Chrysler. Both disruptive with respect to day-to-day operations and expensive. Given FCA’s debt load, I don’t think it’s doable. Now, if Fiat hadn’t bought Chrysler...

I have driven a lot of Jeeps and Rams and really don’t see a poor quality problem. It does look like Chrysler is gone. Too bad, the 300 is actually a nice car. Because of the tyrannic CAFE standards it has become almost impossible to build a full size sedan and make a profit which is why Ford is going stop trying.

I love the new Jeep Grand Cherokees and the 4 door Jeeps. They are both some nice vehicles to drive.
Ditto the Dodge Durangos and RAM pick ups too.

BS.
They found something really bad inside Marchionne and he’s on “borrowed time”.

The generally poor quality of all FCA vehicles is evidence. We have 2 newish Jeeps in the family - Grand Cherokee and a Renegade.
Both have zero issues in the first 2 years. Nada.
I was seriously skeptical about the Renegade, being made in Italy. But, it's a very nice little rig! Very capable, comfortable and quiet.

Fiat - Fix it Again Tony...FCA needs to promote Alfa Romano and kill Fiat in the US. They need to spin off Jeep/Ram...
