Nuclear super weapons that Vladimir Putin claims can strike anywhere on the planet are being tested by Russia, military footage has revealed.

Daunting images purport to show the latest round of tests for the missiles, which the military says are capable of wiping out an area ‘the size of Texas or France’.

The RS-28 Sarmat missiles are capable of striking targets via both the North and South poles and can carry more nuclear warheads than any other missile on the planet, Russia claims.

What's more, the RS-28 Sarmat missiles are able to deliver up to 24 of Russia's new Avangard hypersonic gliders, each of which can carry its own nuclear payload.

Also shown is what has been dubbed the Doomsday Torpedo, the caption says it is named Poseidon, being tested at a facility. Supposedly the weapon would carry a 100 MT warhead to destroy naval installations.

I would suppose that the USA has already developed similar weapons which the Russians either stole the design or were given schematics by local traitors.

100 mega-tons seems like an awful lot.

Wouldn’t ten megatons suffice?

The rumor is the torpedo would explode off shore causing a tsunami.

While Russia is so bent on making the most powerful atomic weapons, I hope we are making the most powerful weaponized satellite capable of using kinetic energy weapons. Supplementing nukes using space weaponry with our new Space Force would be a ten fold deterrent.

Seems pointless. We have been at mutually assured destruction for so many decades now, nuclear weapons just act as a backstop on a world war. A world war is impossible in the nuclear era. Any nuclear power subject to unconditional surrender would just start lobbing nukes.

Besides. the USA has been able to nuke every point on the planet for a long time. Call this new Russion weapon non sequitur

Yes

Talk about the capability of striking ‘anywhere’ in the world.

We have subs that can hit anywhere on earth, days, weeks, months after any exchange.

At some point this is all redundant.

This makes the need for missile defense more urgent than ever.

Oh, look...informing us that Russia is our enemy (same threat when Obama was king, but he laughed at the very thought, and made deals with Russia). The difference? President Trump. Now, “all of a sudden” the Russians are the bad guys. They’ve ALWAYS been the bad guys; they’re just portrayed differently in the MSM, depending on who’s in office.
