When you think about how popular these shows were back in the day I shutter to think just how much FREEDOM of speech we have lost in this country!!! These shows were hysterical I mean REALLY FUNNY!!! I think of these shows hitting the airwaves today and liberal heads EXPLODING everywhere DEMANDING apologies for the content, George Jefferson was a hoot and Archie was VERY outspoken about EVERY person that wasn’t a white man also had a few choice names for Jews!!! It is such a shame we can laugh at ourselves the way we used to!!!!

All in the Family - In today's uber-PC culture they could NEVER let the things that came out of Archie Bunker's mouth go out over the airwaves, even if it's in jest. They'd be confronting mobs of violent protesters shouting RAAAAAACIST!
The Jeffersons - George and Weezy left the plantation, achieved Capitalist success and started Livin' White. Can't have THAT now, can we?
Good Times - The parents were married, and the father actually left to go to Alaska for a JOB! The kids studied and tried to get an education. The eldest child actually became a CONSERVATIVE. No one would believe it today!
Maude - A brash, pushy, loud-mouthed aggressive Feminist like that would have to be a Lesbian today.
Sorry, Mr. Lear. It appears you are a victim of your own PC success.
