I quit watching when players began grunting with every stroke. It's been a long while.....do they still do that ?

Most do - there was one women's match I saw with a really bad offender (can't remember if it was Sharapova, I think she's the worst), but anyway her opponent was playing well and completely silent on her strokes. It was a ridiculous contrast.
I think they tried making a rule in the past and it didn't last, apparently.
Somebody needs to ask the women why they grunt louder than the men, yet none of them could beat a top 100 men's player.
