Not just that. Also “I’m The Man”, “Breaking Us in Two”, and “You Can’t Get What You Want,” along with several more.
-all of them great songs.
Joe Jackson hated this song and hated having to play such mindless hits at his concert performances. He would much rather play Look Sharp or Steppin Out. Kind of like how Sting hated performing Roxanne.
I always liked Sunday Papers, Its Different for Girls, Instant Mash, and Pretty Girls. He was right about the mini skirt too. It did come back in style. The maxi dress was an abomination on the world. I am not saying all dresses should be above the knee, but dresses should expose a womans ankles. If not, you might as well wear pants.
Which is all women wear here n Northern California. Dresses are the exception. 95% of women wear pants 99% of the time, except for weddinds and funerals. Most women who regularly wear dresses, have to for work.
I saw him in a small nightclub near Albany NY front table, one of his first shows in USA. Great Album.

He’s younger than I thought. Such a talented performer.
Great song. I also love “Steppin’ Out”.
