Given her account to her therapist, it seems like something happened. Should drunken behavior at party 35 years when you are 17 be relevant? No! Absent an actual rape or murder, it is just not relevant.

However, reflexively calling her a liar is just more fodder for the Dems to paint republicans as anti-woman. Every republican candidate is going to get asked whether they support Kavanaugh, and if they say yes, they next day the ad will be "Candidate X doesn't believe woman who have been sexually assaulted."
