The Two Question Polygraph - Debunked
bolobaby ^ | 09/29/2018 | bolobaby

All,

I haven't posted here in a long while, many because I was pissed about JimRob's handling of the primaries. But that aside...

When it comes to Kavanaugh, it is extremely important that we have our ducks in a row. If we make specious claims (as Ford has!), then we will be able to be debunked, and as Blumenthal AMAZINGLY said, "False in one thing, false in everything." Yes... I too can't believe Mr. Lies-About-Vietnam had the nerve to say that, but for rubes out there who WANT to believe Ford, this statement holds some weight.

Start by watching this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD6m-cyUI_g

Take note that the important concept here is RELEVANT questions, not TOTAL questions. So, while hooked up to the polygraph machine, you are asked a slew of questions, but the universe of RELEVANT questions should be quite small. The fact is that the RELEVANT question needs to shock and surprise the examinee as to generate a physiological response in they are lying. The more you lie, the more your body "calms down" and starts messing with the results.

Now go look at the polygraph report that was provided by Ford's lawyers:

https://www.scribd.com/document/389531392/Ford-Polygraph-Result

Take note that the report specifically refers to RELEVANT questions, which is important parlance for polygraph examiners. Anyone in the profession will understand that the limited number of RELEVANT questions actually improves polygraph accuracy. This report does not indicate the number of questions used to baseline.

Refer to section 5 of this document to understand the different kind of questions Ford was asked during the polygraph examination:

https://antipolygraph.org/documents/federal-polygraph-handbook-01-12-1998.pdf

As you can see, there is a variety of question types, and we should in no way assume that the examiner mentioned that they followed a methodology in their report, mentioned the relevant questions, but then they abandoned the remainder of the methodology regarding additional question types.

Bottom line: The left has A LOT of useful idiots on their side in this debacle. These useful idiots are willing to believe ANYTHING their side says without ANY corroboration or basis in fact. DO NOT BE A USEFUL IDIOT AND REPEAT THE TWO POLYGRAPH LIE.

Ford believes what she is saying. So what? There are many people who believe outlandish things, especially when it comes to reconstructed memories for 36 years ago. If you want red meat regarding this matter, look at how she came into the memories of these "events."

Not sure if I really want to be a Freeper again. I'll AWLAYS be conservative. I HATE what is being done to Trump by the hyperbolic media, but I didn't vote for him. I was a Cruz man. It was largely what happened to Cruz and those that support him by Team Trump - here included - that continues to drive me away from conservative sites.

All that being said, I felt it was important to help solidify our side in FACTS.

Beyond facts, we need to ACT. The left owns the circus. People like Flake cave in because they only see the left acting up. It would be FRICKIN' GREAT if we had an hour walkout from work to pray for Kavanaugh across the nation so that the rest of the country can see that we, too, can act. I'm sick of only the left getting on their soapbox.

polygraphs are notoriously inaccurate and this is why they’re not even allowed in most courts of law

I absolutely agree that polygraphs are garbage anyway. I probably should have put that in my original post. THAT would be a good line of attack.

Nonetheless, we need to stop latching on to this “two question” line.

Perhaps it is time to reconsider? FR is unique, and I say it is unfair to include this website with any others 'conservative sites'.

I am going to tell you this. Cruz could have never won that election.

Thank God that Mr Trump was able to win and handle the after effects like a pro.

The polygraph was performed at the airport hotel where she was returning home from attending her grandmother’s funeral. Between admitted flight anxiety and death of a family member, what medications was she taking?

Cruz still gets dumped on, daily, on FR, even now... including calls for him to be defeated in NOV.

All polygraph is, is a tool for interrogation.

It’s a psychological blackjack the operator uses to intimidate & manipulate his subject. Many polygraphers actually believe they’re are doing lie detection. (It helps if the subject believes it too.) Polygraphers are not detecting lies, to do so would require the actual reading of minds. Fun SciFi for movies & TV but not science!

No it isn't.

The intelligence community uses it for employment in both counterintelligence and full-scope (read: life style) polygraphs. It also uses it for credibility assessments of HUMINT and counterintelligence sources.

There are two keys: the polygrapher and the moral constitution of the one being polygraphed. It can be defeated and manipulated. I've had many. Some good, some exceptionally poor.

But it isn't junk science. It's an imperfect science that has remarkable results if done correctly. Its imperfection is why it cannot be used in courts.

Well thanks for the information, are you in this line of work?

No one thought Trump would win, but he did. He is our President. Each candidate had pro’s and con’s. Cruz is polished and Trump is not in verbalization. I cringe at things he twitters but I also am proud at other times when he is spot on.

With that said, that would be a great idea have an hour walkout to pray for the Judge.

Our party has been terrible at messaging. We have leaders that are careful to not offend while Dems don’t give a flying flip because they have the powerful media behind them and decide to leave things out that were said/ They fail to report positive news on our President whereas they had a love affair with Obama.

We are fighting so many fronts media, DOG, FBI, CIA, NSA, State dept, the #meetoo movement, Soros and other rich billionaires. Soros has contributed 264 million dollars this year to fight us. Our own party throws conservatives and christian’s under tbe bus.

Our rallies don’T get media attention and if do, they mock it, distort the crowd size.

Anyways, I myself use twitter to get messages to the President on articles or share information. I twitter messages to certain members of our party. I call them. I do the best I can.

The left whip us the students with Universities and College leaders supporting them. They ban conservative speakers from coming there. They ban conservatives from PayPal, SWIPE from doing business, they shut down their websites, they remove their videos from YOUtube, facebook. They shadow ban them from twitter.

We all are doing the best we can, however we can.

Thanks for returning. Hope to see you around more.

Great summary. And I will say that if I had a recovered memory and was contemplating putting myself in great jeopardy by going public with a story based on it, the first thing I would do is take a polygraph from a good polygrapher to get an objective assessment. Of course there’s a huge difference between lying when you know your are being untruthful and accurately portraying an event the way you truly believe it to be. Everyone has been in a position of truly believing something that turns out to be factually incorrrect. We’re only human.

Well I hope that you can see now that Trump was the only man for the job given the state that our nation is in. There is no one else that would have taken on the deep state like Trump has done. No one else could have gotten away with it either; even it they tried.

That being said. Cruz is doing a good job right now as a Senator, and I think it is time to bury the hatchet and look forward. Conservatives need to work together to save this nation.

I'm not convinced the polygraph was administered at all. Grassley asked in the hearing that the actual polygraph data be provided and was told that wouldn't happen. Why not?

Anybody can write a report. The 'rats are masters of deceit. What would stop them from hiring an "examiner" they could control?

My rule when dealing with 'rats is to start by assuming that all you are being told is false and see if there is any relevant corroborating evidence. There has been no corroborating evidence provided for a single important claim in this lynching of Kavanaugh. All we have so far is uncorroborated testimony from a loon who can weep for 8 minutes without tears and mucus, using a little girl persona she can turn on and off at will and lots of BS provided by lawyers on the DNC payroll.

If Cruz had won the primary, I would have voted for him. I think after Bush being such a quiet man with Obama hurling insults at him and not defending himself nor our party, people wanted someone to fire up the party and tell things straight up and not worry about being PC. I think we all need to give each other grace for our voting choices and get behind our President for better or worse. I have made my feelings known here when Trump has made me cringe with something he has said. I move on. I still support him. He is his own man and we have no clue what he deals with on a daily basis.

Primaries are wars between otherwise friends. I would say it’s time to bury the hatchet. These midterms are too important.
