I learnt English in my twenties when I was in Asia. “Stick it to men” ? What is the stick here?
In its origins, I believe it referred to anal rape... usually, but not necessarily, metaphorical.
That meaning has been lost over decades (because of its non-specificity) to the point that I’ve heard it said in church... never mind the ridiculous notion that any biological female could accomplish it... without an actual stick, anyway.
