I’m from the 70’s. I wish it was always the 70’s.

Well, except for Carter and the horrible disco stuff at the end. but otherwise, best music ever and the country was a better place to be.

The "disco stuff" started in the middle, in 1974 with Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra, MFSB's TSOP, and The Hughes Corporation Don't Rock the Boat.

It started to end with Dire Strait's Sultans of Swing in 1979, but carried on quite a while after that.

But in general I agree with you, the 1970s had a lot of good music, and a fair amount of second-rate stuff, some of which seems to have gotten better with age.

Unfortunately, California began to go south during that decade. At the start, we had a conservative Republican Senator, a conservative Republican governor, and Los Angeles had a Democrat mayor who was more conservative than most Republicans. At the end of the decade, we had a RINO senator, a Democrat governor, and LA had a Democrat mayor.
