They now a coccooned, sterile, germ-free life of Millennium mother lysol wiped glass-enclosed “life”.

Put them outside in the grass, dirt, and real world.

Nothing in the story about the “why” except for the “cleanliness theory,” which I’m sure you’ve heard before.

The story really doesn’t live up to its headline.

I am not an anti-vaxxer...but the current state of immunization policy in this country is freakishly dystopian. Toooo many vaccines and far too little accountability on the part of the companies and governments endorsing them.

A friend of mine died in the early 90’s due to his peanut allergy.

He ate at a Chinese restaurant across the street from work. Ate there for years.

He always reminded them of his peanut allergy. They assured him that there were no peanuts in his orders.

One night, someone decided to use peanut butter as a filler in his eggrolls.

Drove himself to the ER and died on the table.

When my dear late husband was little, he found he had a severe peanut/nut allergy. At the time he was the only one in school who had it. ( he was 90 when he passed, so it was a long time ago.)

My daughter, who is now 60, also has the allergy and in school she was the only one she knew of who had it.

Both husband and daughter learned to live with it

But now?? So common!! Would love to know specific reasons why.

Peanut protein powder

[Snip]...In a clinical trial, researchers did what might seem like a recipe for disaster: administer tiny daily doses of peanut protein powder to patients with peanut allergies. The amount was gradually increased over six months to build tolerance.

Peanut allergies are mostly a genetic disease. It's a bad mutation that is often passed on to the next generation.

If you'd like to read about the mutational meltdown of the human race I suggest Genetic Entropy by John Sanford a population genetics professor at Cornell.

Back in the early-late 50s, I remember everyone eating PB&Js, Planter's Nuts etc. How did allergies multiply so prolifically? DNA mutations?

My nephew has it bad. Had it since he was a few months old.

Wish they’d find a cure.

We have lots of kids. Only one has peanut allergies. They were all raised basically the same as far as exposures. We don’t know why he has allergies. We found out when we gave him peanut butter at the age of one. He blew up like a balloon and we took him into the emergency room. Anaphylactic reaction. My wife and I are not allergic to any kind of food.

Yes. There is a much higher rate of peanut allergy in the USA as opposed to Israel which almost has a zero peanut allergy.

Our allergist is a well-known peanut allergy specialist. She has mentioned in her lectures that Israel starts daily peanut exposure in babies mouths at birth and they essentially have zero peanut allergy in Israel. You can google it.

Here’s a link which explains some of it.

Everyone is exposed to so many chemicals these days. That messes with immune systems. Especially those of children. Now we find out that Children are being exposed to massive dosses of Monsanto’s weed killer every morning when they eat there cereal. And then we wonder what is wrong.
