Exactly. Prayer and getting yourself right with God is the best way to prepare for eternity.. your own personal one and the end of the world.

What a way to get in an anti Trump statement.
Good Grief!

I believe in the end times but not for these three things.
Nope I believe things may be imminent for these reasons.

1) the rebirth of Israel (as a jewish state) in 1948. Further the language spoken is Hebrew a tongue lost and rediscovered in the 19th century.

2) The oppressive EU, the early foundation for the empire of the beast. Very anti-Semetic, anti-Christian, and heavily influenced by intolerant hatred of islam.

3) Pope Francis and the beginnings of the false church. The pope worships socialism/communism but not Christ. He will soon embrace gays as part of the church, and he is stonewalling any investigations of pedos in the ranks.

all these things have taken a generation of more to form.
We are promised to know the season but not the hour.

The red heifer is not mentioned in prophesy. However it IS important to the end times.

The red heifer is needed to sacrifice at the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple on the site of the current muslim Dome of the Rock mosque.

more importantly, plans to rebuild the temple are dependent on another thing: the Arc of the covenant once again in Jewish possession.

the new temple is mentioned in prophesy. But the Arc and the red heifer are not. They are prerequisites for the temple.
muslims know that too. IF the arc was declared as found. it would be instant war with all the surrounding muslim states for they would know the Dome of the Rock would be living on borrowed time.

Really?

You think that's criticism?

That's so cute!

But seriously.

If witnessing the the last few years gives any indication, I think Trump feeds off criticism. Like in the SciFi movies when the thing society is afraid of and throws everything in it's arsenal against it. Shooting bullets, missiles, bombs, nukes, ray guns etc. And it only gets BIGGER!!

It is his superpower! Lesser politicians have had their whole career destroyed by a fraction, a mere fraction of what Trump has endured. He will,(I hope I don't jinx this) increase the GOP position in both the house and senate. And sit back and watch the Democrats and the media heads explode!

So I get a little chuckle at what you think is criticism. You have a good night.

Thanks.

“..through the use of TV,the Internet...”

Our pastor awhile ago talked of how when God scattered mankind after the Tower of Babel, it was to weaken the evil in men. “Can you imagine what might have happened if everyone spoke and understood German when Hitler came to power?” His presumption was that EVERYONE would have been snookered into his beliefs. (I’m not sure it is the best analogy.)

But - with the internet of today, and much of the world understanding English (at least many of the leaders?) - I could see where Satan would make use of it in the final days. Heck - Satan already is using it to expand his power and deception.

The following may seem, aw heck, it IS hypocritical of me to say this but I believe the internet has allowed people to be meaner, bolder than if they were in person. I've said some things I would never have said if not for the anonymity of the internet. I think creeps like the guy who shot up the Temple in Pittsburgh get in niche sites and the echo chamber he gets embolden him to be more than a "keyboard commando" And we can expect more loners to "cook off" as they want their 15 minutes of fame.

What to do about it? I dunno. Maybe get rid of alias like "RedMonqey" would be a start. Make people responsible for their words. A good punch in the mouth used to be a good solution to a loud mouth.

And I've seen things I won't want my nieces and nephews to see at any age. Porn of all types, disgusting and utter stupid acts to get "likes" on u-tude and dangerous knowledge like making bombs..Again, don't know what to do about this but I didn't have to face this when I was a kid. And yeah, I see Satan laughing at our conundrum.

II Tim 3 is exactly like what’s going on.

I remember attending church when I was young and being bored because none of it make any sense.

No context and no experience.

Now in my fifties I have a lifetime of experience and the relevance of the passages in the Bible become crystal clear.

Man has not changed. His has always been of a sinful nature. And he will always be in need of Salvation.

More and more I wish I was “an ignorant, bored child” again.

My favorite part about the red heifer is the red mother in the photo.

I must said these concern me more than fish in a sinkhole or snakes in an old wall. But the things you stated, the corruption of the Catholic Church with this pope and rampant pedophilia(and I'm not even Catholic)Have me concerned...

VERY concerned.

To me it is cute.

Maybe because we had a red calf born to black Angus cows.

It was male though. Pop castrated him.

Was a bad mistake as it could have been breed for big money...

Wait - RedMonqey isn't your real name!?

And while the angry, anonymous posts aren't helpful, and real knowledge about how to built bombs and such can cause problems, I think there is an even deeper, pyschologic problem that the internet that is creating. Of course lots of great stuff from the internet too, but it seems that a lot of evil too.

Just the concept of having this thing in your hand that will give you instant reward. Either from some stupid game, or from a bunch of “like” on Facebook or Twitter. Or even a comment replied to on FR.

We tried to keep our kids away from it until they were in high school. But even at what we thought was an old enough age - they still get sucked into it. (Some more than others).

I was just reading an article about it, and the mental issues it can cause:

http://time.com/5437607/smartphones-teens-mental-health/

I thought it interesting that the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) is so concerned. This is the same bunch that discredits the idea that transgenderism could be a social contagion spread in large part through the internet (4500% increase in girls wanting to be boys in the last ten years!), and that the only policy must be “if they think they are boys, give them hormones and surgery”.

I have some questions for ya:

I've seen questions like this before and my only answer to most of is is translation. One has to devote a lot of time studying the original text, if it even survived and translate from there.

That may sound like a cop out but I simply don't have the answers to these questions. Thanks though.

It’s my mother’s maiden name(snicker, snicker)

The internet can be an amazing tool.... in the hands of an adult.
It was a mistake to introduce it to children so young.. they need to learn to socialise and encounter the outside world first.

You have my sympathy and my prayers on raising children in this era. God help you.

When we were young boys, we lived in the wilderness, we could or tried to do it all, boys scouts, farming, a little hunting, fishing, you name it we could do it or figure it out on our own. But we were trained how by our father.

I’m not just being an old codger when I say many kids don’t know how to do anything if the internet didn’t show them.

My brother took our sister’s kids on a camping trip, they’re 16 and 12. They didn’t know how anything worked.
Both are book smart.. the girl is scary smart, all A+s in AP classes but cannot figure how to open a sleeping bag. Making a fire, and I’m not talking bout with rubbing sticks together, I’m talking with a book of matches. Nope, can’t do it. No coordination, although she does sports. He just gave up. No exaggeration Gad!
They did have a good week together exploring Colorado and Grand Junction area but my brother said it would have been a lot more fun if he didn’t have to tutor them on the most simple tasks. He was exhausted from his vacation. He’s a teacher too.

I think “transgenderism” is largely a fad among kids who simply want to fit in the crowd...yet still be ...special.

My mom has said children demand your attention.. either for good or bad ways but they will get your attention.

The home is the first school room and parents the first teacher.

With so many busted and mixed families these kids just don’t have a role model to firmly follow... so they get lost.
Might be chemicals too as nobody... NOBODY knows what all the different chemicals do alone, much less mixed in a toxic cocktail. “Better living through chemicals” brought to you by Dow and Dupont.
