more like a museum fail - we are going to hang these important paintings on an unattached, unsecured “wall”? Bad idea.
Seems pretty stupid for a museum to have a “wall” that is so utterly fragile, but yeah, people are not supposed to lean-push-or-bump museum displays.
Amazing how many stupid ways ppl find to do bad “selfie” screw-ups.
Why was it not roped off? Why was anyone able to get that close to it? Why did they use real glass and not plexiglass? Just asking for trouble when corners are cut.
That wall was actually an incredibly lightweight & downright flimsy unsecured partition. Doesnpt sound like the museum should have been entrusted with this exhibit.
"...selfie fail..."
Wall should have been better secured. It could have smacked Girl A. on the top of her noggin. I didn’t see Girl B. at all.
Girl A. & B. may be considering a lawsuit of their own, to obtain easy money for shopping.
Since the fall of that wall almost scared the Borscht out of them.
Look! The Obama “Just Us” Department!
If the real Salvador Dali were alive to see this, he would he trembling with rage. Sal was a surrealistic genius, but he was also a very unstable person, given to a preoccupation with sordid, fetish behavior. This is not the correct forum to discuss all his ‘proclivities’.
So the destroyed Dali is now much more valuable because it is even more rare. It is part of a work of the performance art genre - title is something like
..
Selfie-F**k-Up #17-B
THAT is hysterical!
The museum actually owns that, in my opinion, for the decision to build that flimsy wall to showcase the Dali painting that now is no more.
They all went home and ate their Tide pods like nothing happened.
No arrests.
More g-dam pussy passes.
BEFORE
AFTER
The museum is responsible. To attach a priceless work of art to an unsecured position is outrageously reckless. A “selfie” is not the only way to knock such a “wall” down - a simple trip and fall, with the person expecting the barrier to hold and break the fall, could do it also.
