Why do conspiracy “researchers” claim that the mundane or coincidental is mysterious?

Interesting on the switch. I recall watching TV news live on 9/11 as the twin towers burned. One of the anchors in the studio was talking about things with previous shot footage showing in the background. “Oh no. This just in - one of the towers has collapsed! One of the towers has collapsed! Go live- go live!”

“Sandra - we've just heard that one of the towers has collapsed!”

“Um - no John, they are still there (burning towers in the background)...”

It was another 5 minutes or more when the first one did collapse. I have no idea what that was about. Perhaps a warning that one of the towers may collapse so clear the area got turned into “one of the towers has collapsed”.

I've always wondered if the silent period on the Nixon Tapes was about the assassination. Just prior to the erasure Nixon says something like “This mess could lead to the whole Cuban thing.” To go with the “tramps” conspiracy.

And then Nixon naming Ford as his VP (Ford was on the Warren Committee - maybe the head of it??).

Not that Nixon would have been involved in the hit - but I could see him trying to cover it up. Just as he tried to prevent the release of “The Pentagon” papers which slammed Kennedy's and Johnson's handling of the war. If the assassination was a conspiracy, he didn't want that to lead to a weakened America.

In any case JFK conspiracy hounds simply say the photos and films were doctored! So those Japanese Zeros and Val dive bombers were really Luftwaffe aircraft!

Except that the majority of the researchers do not write books or make movies. It is their passionate hobby to gather facts and share them on JFK forums. I know just enough to comprehend that it all stinks pretty bad and that modern forensics has unravelled much that was deemed factual.

When you are in 6th grade and remember the day JFK was shot. You remember they closed school the next day. You saw Ruby kill Oswald. Glued to the tv watching the funeral procession. Saw JFK Jr salute. Thanksgiving was late that year 28th. We all cried at the table. You never forget. You need answers.

Who, the House Committee on Assassinations? No, they weren’t. Or do you mean the Warren Commission? Because that’s always the final fallback. Accept the evidence when it suggests conspiracy, and reject it when it doesn’t, cause hey, it’s tainted!
