Liberty Daily

Posted on 11/25/2018 10:30:56 AM PST by Allen In Texas Hill Country

I read the Liberty Daily at least once a day. After checking the entries, on a rare occasion, I might click a picture or advertisement. And it happened for a 2nd time. I wonder just how many of the pictures are loaded with malware/ransomeware????????????

Just sayin' that one might think twice.

So... you clicked on something a second time?
If this is a problem, I'd suggest not clicking on it a second time.

I wouldn’t click on any ads. The ads are clearly ads. Don’t click on them.

This is what comes of visiting jerky blogs.

Only a fluff-brained ninny-muggins does that.

Now you know why I almost never use Liberty Daily.
I found out about it only a year ago.
I checked it out. Interesting articles. I didn’t particularly like that they were so quick to label anyone they didn’t like as being a ‘Communist’.
The dealbreaker was the constant pop-ups.
Some of those ads are gifs, meaning the image inside the pop up is constantly wiggling or shifting, hoping to make you click it on. Too distracting and too annoying with those ads.

Visiting jerky blogs isn’t the only activity exclusive to fluff-brained ninny-muggins.

No ads using “ublock Origin”

https://thelibertydaily.com/ is FAR more patriotic than “Drudge” who has turned to the dark side.

Looks like a Drudge type news aggregator. Not my style, but seems well done. I use Adblock Plus and got no popups.

I’m on a Mac, and use AdBlock. Don’t get any pop-up ads or windows on Liberty Daily. Ad photos are on the page, but I never click on them as they are clearly displayed as ads.

Just seeing all those photos twitching in their perpetual motion, is enough for me to go elsewhere. IMO, it shows disregard for the viewer and cheapens the website to use such a Hard Sell approach. For those less easily distracted, it may work just fine.

if you use a good antivirus program and run regular malware sweeps, your chances are made much better

we can’t say which programs are best but we have had good luck so far with Avast free antivirus program (just too many popup ads is all) and either IOBit Malware Fighter and/or Clary Malware Hunter

all free.
oh yes, we FREQUENTLY run full cleaning scans with all of the FREE features on Advanced System Cleaner 12. every day at least. easy as pie to use. just click the button that says Fix Automatically. (or FIx automatically and SLeep computer if that is your desire). walk away and let it do its thing.

no guarantees but the above routine maintenances, all free programs, works here on multiple computers

Best,
fhc

good luck and Merry Christmas

I typically go to Liberty Daily numerous times a week but it seems to have been more problematic lately with ads jumping out at me and the site generally going slow because of so much stuff on it... at least that is what occurs when I visit it using ‘In-Private Browsing.’

The one issue that I’ve wondered about for which I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an answer is this.... Who is behind it? Who runs it? At least with Drudge, we know there is a character named Matt Drudge....According to Politichicks, “it was founded by the husband and wife team of Matthew and Jennifer Burke.” But who are they? I can’t seem to find anything about them...

Hmmmmmmm a “fluff-brained ninny-muggins”. Wellllll
this “fluff-brained ninny-muggins” has probably written several hundred computer programs in the last 50 years. This being the latest:

Ahhh yes, the IBM 650!!!!

And I do use an ad blocker so overall I’m very comfortable with Liberty Daily. As I am with FR. Lastly, I clicked on an ad the second time to see/verify the shytware was still there. Mission accomplished and thought I’d let others know.

Perpetual motion? Do you mean they move on your browser? If so, I don’t have that. I have just regular photos.

If it’s news you want, check out ‘Feedly,’ which is a news aggregator where you select you own news sources. No ads. No popups.

Probably.

Meaning... possibly not.

OK, Chief.

Patriotic or not, The Liberty Daily’s over the top headlines on the opposition, keeps me from going there very often.

Their main headlines turn into paragraphs as they infuse their commentary with the latest news.

I never click on their ads and I never have pop-ups or moving gifs on their website, because I use a simple browser extension called, “Ad Block Plus.”

Any of these before mentioned extensions will prevent the pop-up ads.
