The coveted top of the 2018 Bottom 10 is decided [College Football]
ESPN ^ | November 27, 2018 | Ryan McGee

To say our discussions fell apart would be like describing Dana Holgorsen's hair as "windblown." Jerry Glanville fell asleep. Charlie Weis announced he was bailing because "y'all can't afford me." Watson Brown left to see if his brother needed any help moving his stuff to Chapel Hill. Then Coach Wally Rig made a suggestion: "Call the freaking nerds." So we did.

I think Mr. McGee might be a secret Free Republic reader. He stole my Michigan moniker "Fightin' Khakis". I should have trademarked it. Power 5 teams making the list: UNC, Louisville, Michigan, and Rutgers. Michigan is in the not coveted #5 slot for a Power 5 team that laid an egg during the weekend.

Michigan’s “Revenge Tour” took a nasty turn at Columbus. Can’t say that I was heartbroken.

The only problem with the UM/OSU game is that ties are no longer operable in college football.
Even better would be a method whereby they could both lose the same game.

Is Jerry Glanville still alive? I always remember his definition of the NFL: Not For Long.

How can UTEP be so bad? For so long?

For one thing their stadium lies within bullet range of Ciudad Juarez. Not a great recruiting tool.

My Kansas Nay-Hawks won’t reach the top of the bottom this year.

Drat - I thought this thread would be about true underdogs ranked in the 90s/100s....

I’d rather watch those guys play each other...it’s usually a pretty exciting game.

This whole selection is pure nonsense. There is no question that my UCONN team is number one of the bottom ten. They waited until the other votes were counted to see if they needed a vote to cheat UCONN out of its much earned spot before they woke up Glanville to vote for UTEP.

I’m calling Stacy Abrams to see if UCONN can join in her election suit. This is an outrage!

Ever since I got here in 74, they have been bad, bad before I got here too. I think they went to a bowl game once. Probably the Toilet Bowl, can’t remember. Winning one game in two years, what a team.

Wait until next year...I’m not sure if we will win anything (including Wagner) next year unless we get rid of Randy Edsel. Or at least let the defensive coaches do their job...600 points given up this year...
