I recently moved to a much more rural area.
I’ll have to check on whether I can cull Whitetail, Mulies and/or Turkeys on my own property in Season.
12 mo a year if they damage your garden ... in Pa.
Beau went Turkey Hunting for the first time last April. Got a 36 pounder in like 10 minutes of sitting in his blind a miles or so from the house.
Now he thinks it’s the easiest thing ever, LOL! He breasted it and carved out the thighs, has the fan and beard drying for mounting. The meat was very delicious. :)
Virginia has a continuous open season on nuisance wildlife, with some wildlife such as wild hogs and coyote specifically listed. Others, like squirrels, can be killed if detrimental to your dwelling or property.
The whitetail population exploded around here and farmers have been getting nuisance permits for years.
Fella down the road from me is constantly giving away venison. His freezer stays full and he gives away dozens every year.
I just read that black bear are being hunted as nuisance wildlife now.
Pretty sure regs differ by state and type of wildlife.
Just check with your particular state.
Reason for the question, I'm jealous as hell.
