I think her argument is that the boy doesn’t deserve a civil payment, because he consented to the activity, so while it was illegal, he shouldn’t get money for it. :)
She’s already locked up, she was convicted and is serving 3 years.
This is about a civil suit the boy and his mother filed against her.
She’s wrong on both counts.
Not according to the article, he was 16. It happened in 2014.
The argument is whether he was “sexually assaulted” — he is suing her for 2 million dollars, and she is saying that the relationship was consensual, and therefore even though it was illegal, she was not liable for damages he claims.
It is an interesting argument, she will probably lose.
On the other hand, I can see it as a winning argument in cases where a minor pretends to be an adult.

Good example of how brainwashed and manipulated we are - I read that as “she’s no racist.”
Yes and had a woman done that to a son of mine I’d be killing angry. My sons have souls, too.
My guesses:
1. It is easier to get photographic evidence today, so more claims are believed, and
2. Because there is evidence, it is harder to just transfer the offender to another school and pretend it didn’t happen.
I suspect we do hear about a far larger proportion of cases today than even 20 years ago.
Photographs? Like predator public school teachers, how many school mass murders occurred say in the 50s and 60s? And how many millions of illegal aliens were invading our country in those decades while they waved threatened us and foreign flags in our faces?
These public schools have become seeded with sexual predators. Every other day or every few days were reading about yet another public school predator. No way this was happening at this frequency in the 50s and 60s.
And it begs the question, were only hearing about the school predators who have been caught. Ask yourself, how many have not been caught? The answer, based on the frequency of these incidents, is likely to be into the thousands.
