Stephen Curry is pretty sure the moon landing was faked, just in case you cared

Hey since this video is being discussed, can you give us specific details about what sort of color video camera, circa 1970, was left behind on the moon to take the shot of the Apollo 17 lift off from the moon?

How did they transport such a huge and heavy color camera from that era to the moon, with a tripod big enough to hold a color camera from that era?

And what company manufactured and equipped the camera it with a transmitter to use it as a remote from earth to tilt and zoom and follow the take off of the Lunar Module in real time?

You’ll take notice, that the camera panned and tilted up in real time.

No delay.

The comments are priceless, too.

Also, the camera should still be there, on the moon, correct?

I ask because of the infamous “NASA FAKING SPACE BADLY 1983” video, where a fellow FReeper helped me realize there was a matte shot or chromakey shot with the “Big Head” guy and the Shuttle... here...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pVm7p4nkwo

maybe you have a better explanation of the “continuous cloud cover” on the earth in these shots?

That would be great, if you could identify the types of c.1970 color video cameras that were used on the moon. Or do you think these were film cameras on the moon that were fitted with electronic remote controls from earth, replete with transmitters?

He knows how to sink a 30 foot shot. Does that count?

Look up Curious Droid on YouTube. I believe he has at least one video where he explains how the astronauts got through the Van Allen belts.

He has lots of other great videos as well discussing the American and UK air and space programs.

A funny take on the "faking" of the moon landing:

What’s even funnier is NASA says “they no longer have the technology to go to the moon” and they no longer can get through the Van Allen Belt... (coughFirmamentcough)

Okay, can you answer the questions posed in this post about the remote controlled color video camera on the surface of the moon, that in real time, tilted up and zoomed in on the Lunar Module’s take off?

It looks like the video stumped another son of someone who worked at NASA.

A remote control camera operated from earth. There was a 3 second delay between transmission and reception. But the operator was trained for that 3 second delay. Does anyone really believe this is impossible?

Have you ever seen a color video camera from the year 1970?

Who would manufacture such a camera to be battery operated?

That would have to have been a huge battery to power such a huge camera.

And a huge tripod, too, with remote control arms, etc...

In fact, who was the manufacturer of all this equipment?

And who made a remote transmitter of that caliber that could relay over 238,000 miles to earth and back in 10 seconds?

Where did you get the three seconds of remote control delay, btw?

And where is this camera, now?

At that time, no one was using portable video cameras... they were still using 16mm film.

But that would have been impossible on the surface of the moon... to remote control a film camera... right?

Waaay too much in the way of electronics. It would have to be the a regular satellite, to transmit back to earth, right?

With the moon spinning and the earth spinning so fast, and the moon spinning around a spinning earth, which in turn is spinning around the sun... there is no way that you could transmit back to earth in less than 10 seconds using c. 1970 technology, right?

Worst case scenario - they animated it. They did that all the time, showed animations of what was happening. Whoa proof positive. Yipes..!!!!!

It really doesn’t matter. I am not going to the moon in my lifetime and neither are you.

What we know - is that there have been some pretty incredible things happen, including our ability to interact over a computer right now. : )

A dumb looking video of the lunar lander taking off - could or couldn’t be real to me. It’s not a hill of beans either way. The very fact that so many doubt it, only proves to me how great the achievement really was.

If by some remote chance it was all a hoax - and aliens have visited this planet and the loch ness monster is laughing at us right now in Scotland, and there are infinite realities upon infinite realities and Spider-man re-marries Mary Jane.

There is a spiritual truth that exists outside of our hopes and dreams. It’s something great and lasts forever. It will not die. The difference between the truth and a lie. The quest for it. It’s all in the quest. The attainment is just a rest stop for the next journey.

The 3 second delay is a result of the speed of light travel between earth, moon, and back.

Transmissions between distant locations across space are possible because of parabolic reflectors, which beam transmissions so that they lose very little power over great distances. Is it not possible for you to research this stuff on your own?

In the future, will you please ask one question at a time so that it is possible to answer?

I didn’t discuss any video. I don’t know what you are talking about and I was never a NASA engineer. Why would you think I would know the particulars about Astronaut’s gear? Why do you even care about such mundane minutia?

I am going to hire Stephan Curry to design the next aircraft and pick some nerdy top of the graduating class engineer to shoot for the Golden State Warriors. Ha ha ha that is sure going to work.

But if Stephan Curry said it - my goodness that sure has a lot of weight. Look at his credentials. He’s fast and smart and fast and man can he shoot every which way.

Let’s ask him about his opinion on the CRISPR-Cas9.

I’m sure he will say. “CRISPR-Cas9 is a unique technology that enables geneticists and medical researchers to edit parts of the genome? by removing, adding or altering sections of the DNA? sequence. It is currently the simplest, most versatile and precise method of genetic manipulation and is therefore causing a buzz in the science world.”

Why would he even want to say that? It’s embarrassing.

Let’s get a world class phenominal jazz musician to work as a pilot for Jet Blue. I am not boarding that plane thanks.

Stephan Curry is just messing with your head. Those guys make a living doing that to the competition.

Are you out of your mind? Nasa never said we no longer have the technology to go to the moon. Nasa has said we no longer have the old archaic technology that was used to get us to the moon fifty years ago in 1969. To do it now, we would have to start again from scratch.

If you want details, try this chronology from 1966:

ASTRONAUTICS AND AERONAUTICS, 1966 Chronology on Science, Technology, and Policy

Stop acting so obtuse. Your petty barbs fall flat from a flat Earther Luddite. (coughFirmamentcough yourself)

Not my experience at all. I do daily battle against NASA haters/moon landing hoaxers/flat earthers on YouTube and they are predominantly anti-government conservatives and extremely fundamental Christians.
