No, walls are not just there to support a roof, and to protect from the elements.   They also keep people (and animals) out.   That's one of the reasons people created and started using walls.   (Banks use extra-strong, reinforced building walls.   They are not extra-strong walls just to support the roof, or to keep the rain or the mice out, but they are there to keep people out, and to protect the bankers and the money.   House walls serve that same purpose.)   Lynette merely said, "Don't your walls protect you?", which applies 100% to both Nancy and Chucky (and to me, and probably you).

As I stated prior, I get their drift, but this logic is nonsensical to the argument of a border wall.

Go ahead if it makes you feel better.

BTW, just what was the purpose of a “fort” back in the day if the walls of the cabins were so effective???

Why are the walls of prisons insufficient themselves to keep prisoners inside?
