HOUSTON, Texas - Jazmine Barnes, age 7, was shot to death and her mother was wounded as they left a Walmart parking lot Sunday morning. Now authorities are trying to track down her killer.
Jazmine and her mother, 30-year-old LaPorsha Washington, were shot as they left the store where they had shopped for juice for their breakfast.
Washington's four daughters, ages 6, 7, 14 and 15, were all in the car at the time of the shooting. Jazmine was killed, and the 6-year-old girl was cut by glass. Washington was also wounded, but survived the shooting.
Deputies said the suspect pulled up next to the family's car and opened fire. Washington drove away on the feeder road near Wallisville Road, then turned around and entered the toll road. Moments later, the car pulled onto the outside shoulder and came to a stop.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s with a beard. The vehicle was described as a red pickup truck. No information was available on a license plate, or make and model of the truck.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office is asking all residents in the area around Wallisville Road near the E. Sam Houston Parkway to check their surveillance video in an effort to help find clues that may lead to Jazmine's killer.
Jazmine's great-uncle told ABC13 he wants anyone who saw anything to please come forward.
"He's not human," he said of the suspect.

The motive for the attack is unknown. Detectives are trying to determine whether the shooting was targeted or random.

Search for the mother’s “sperm donor or donors” first.
2nd - who’s car was she using and/or, who else uses her car? For drug deals or gang bangin’ maybe?
Road rage? Targeted?
Each daughter was named Jazmine.
Who gave the suspect description?
That is so sickening.
I stopped reading when I got to LaPorsha.
Praying for the family. That poor little girl! I hope they catch the bastard.

OTOH, this woman was 14 when she got pregnant with her first, 15 with her second, has 4 children and no Father....well besides Uncle Sugar.
If vehicle description is accurate—4-door red pickup—that should be easy to quickly narrow down on cameras and even DMV for the area. Add to that, a white guy with beard. Wondering just how accurate the overall description of car and shooter are.

Not relevant to someone shooting them on the road. Curious to see how long until they have the guy and whether it was random road rage or something more specific to the woman or family.
Shooter, you know who you are. You will have not a second of peace until you turn yourself in or are captured and/or kill yourself. Do the right thing this one time, call the cops and tell them where to meet you and let them find you spread eagle on the ground waiting. Man up to what you have done.
They will always list the race when its white on black. Never when its reversed.

In Houston 4 door red pickups and white guys with beards are EVERYWHERE.
Need to narrow down. Ford? Dodge?
Old guy? Young guy?

They wouldn’t be so quick to pop out babies if they knew the gubmint wasn’t going to support them.
If the races were reversed, we would not even be reading this event.
Unless of course we saw it on the British press.
