I’ve never liked feral scientists.
Too bad, so sad. Some of my taxpayer dollars saved.
>>the Super Bowl of Astronomy could behold this marvel: a Boeing 747 outfitted with a massive telescope used to study the fundamental mysteries of the universe.
Non-essential government spending.
Build - the - wall
The thing that I most enjoy at these things are the novel carpet designs in the conference venues. It is a challenge to pick patterns and colors so that you cannot tell that one of those rubber chicken dinners got spilled on the floor.
Good. No money wasted on useless conferences catering to egos.
Not to mention the economic impact to the local hooker population.
Trump should brag about how he is personally solving global warming.
OMG...what are we going to do with “some of the nations smartest scientific minds are sitting at home, not doing science,”
Maybe they can “do some science” while washing the dishes, grooming the dog, or emptying the fireplace ashes.
Magnus Pyke did way more for science than these “hundreds” of hacks.
Each day my local news station posts the dates of the record high and record low for that date.
For January 7:
Record high: 76 degrees, 1907
Record low: 5 degrees, 1884
Today the low was 32.7 degrees and the projected high is 43 degrees.
Liberalism is a mental disease.
That phrase, federal scientists . . .
—
“I’ll take ‘oxymorons’ for $200, Alex.”
(snif)
Venkman is the only true scientist in that group.
Good. Progress.
Unless they were paying for this out of their own pockets I say good. In this day and age with video conferencing it is no longer necessary to travel all over to exchange information.
Okay, who’s got the world’s tiniest violin?
You beat me to it.
On the down side hundreds of “Scientists are probably at home making new “scientists” during the shutdown if someone will give them instructions on how to do IT.
