The hospital is private and pre-dates socialized medicine in Canada. Abdominal wall surgery is the only thing done in the hospital. They know what they do.
If you are covered by Canadian medicine, the government will fund a part of the cost, but you or your private insurance will need to chip in something.
I suspect that $5000 to $8000 would be rather inexpensive for a hernia operation in the states.
Thanks for the info! I’m still wondering why, since Paul has access to some of the best medicos and facilities in the country, why there? Is that facility superior to the best of what’s available in the US?
I'd say that here it would be astronomical.
And what gives with the measly sentence for attempted murder. Paul's injuries were terrible and he has suffered horribly, as his wife explained after enduring the worst beside him.
I hope the surgery is as successful as possible, as soon as possible.
