The Trump administration doubled down on grounding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and effectively grounded all congressional delegations for the duration of the shutdown.
On Friday morning, Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Russ Vought tweeted a memo indicating that all congressional travel — at government expense — was being suspended until the shutdown ends.

The first lady is not an elected official, and she has absolutely no role in the shutdown.
The Democrats are refusing to even negotiate. That is why they should have their wings clipped.

Most of the congressional delegation that was going on this trip was boarding commercial jets and flying home — going to your home is not the same as taking a sight-seeing junket.

I believe if you go back and check, Pelosi and the other Congress critters started to rebook commercial flights to Egypt, Afghanistan, and Brussels, and then canceled these commercial flights complaining that Trump had leaked their plans for a commercial flight.
This trip was scheduled for 7 days, during which a scheduled vote in the House is scheduled, and during the Martin Luther King holiday.
Me thinks the Speaker doth protest too much. There may be a lot more to it than just the cancelled excursion.
