Michael Bloomberg’s Secret Plans to Take Down Trump
Whether or not he runs for president, the former New York City mayor is building the most powerful political organization in America.
Michael Bloomberg has bigger plans for 2020 than running for president. The billionaire and former New York City mayor has been openly dreaming of the White House for 25 years, and spent huge amounts of time and money four times over the past 10 years trying to figure out a way to get himself there.
But he has hesitations about this race, too. He’s not sure there is a realistic space in the Democratic primaries for his centrist record. And he almost certainly won’t run if Joe Biden does, members of his team believe.
While no final decision has been made, his aides have been working on a fallback that only a man worth $40 billion can afford. Bloomberg is pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into a data-centric political operation designed to ensure one goal: crush Donald Trump.

I think his best shot at getting into the White House is if the Patriots sign him next year.
If he’s such a centrist, maybe he should ask D’Comio to be his running mate to balance out the ticket. God help us.
Just imagine the frustration billionaire Bloomberg is experiencing. He buys the Republican nomination for Mayor of NYC and in the afterglow of Giuliani manages to get elected. Ditches the Republicans, drifts Left and carefully plans to become President as a Democrat. But low and behold, Donald Trump, a reality TV star and a marginal billionaire at best, comes out of nowhere and actually becomes President. Meanwhile it is apparent to an aging Bloomberg that there is virtually no chance he will ever get the Democratic nomination much less become President. Grrrr. Melville wrote about people like Bloomberg. Bloomberg is Ahab and Trump is the great white whale. It is inevitable how it all ends.
If bloomie can be described, with a straight face, as a centrist, then the Overton Window has well and truly jerked to the left.
Not much good on the horizon.

This sure sounds like the Mega buck coalitions that Jeb and Hillary had, Koch bros too, to beat up on our guy Trump.
Those that are running who reside on the east and west coasts are so delusional into thinking the rest of the country would vote for them.
Not a chance.
If Bloomberg wasn’t too white and “centrist” for today’s Democratic Party, I would fear him. I think he would peel off a lot of the Republican “Never Trump” voters.
He will never win the nomination. Biden is a joke, a complete joke.
Trump can sit back and watch these people eat each other.
Why I put "centrist" in quotes.
I wish I were a billionaire so I could try to buy the kind of government that suits me, me, ME! As it is now, I just have my one measly vote.
Big “secret” if the brain trust at the Atlantic are reporting on it. There’s no way the demonic-rats are going to nominate an aged, white, male, Jew as their candidate, it ain’t gunna happen. Dirty tricks, yeah that’s gunna happen.
I wish I were a billionaire so I could buy my own island and disappear. Equipped private naval forces, the works. Then just enjoy the sun, the shrimp on the barbie and a home theater for rainy days.
If I misread, thinking this was a self description, my bust.
Still think though, with what is becoming ‘acceptable in American political discourse,’ the work of the left in public schools, universities, and its media is coming to fruition.
