I’ve been led to believe that Henry Ford’s anti-Semitism was just a byproduct of the times he lived in. That this was a common ordinary belief among US citizens at that time.

While this may have been ordinary in some circles, I do not believe it was at the national level. Ford received condemnation nationwide for his publications and gifts from "der fuhrer". Conservative Christian America certainly did not support this anti-semitism and conspiracy...

I suspect you are right. But that Hitler quote as posted in the excerpt, indicating Hitler considered Ford an inspiration is taken way way out of context. It adds no credibility to this article.

Hitler admired Ford for his business acumen. Hitler used many of the same business ideas Ford implemented as Hitler began modernizing Nazi Germany.
