No, not collapsing . But the Republic is sagging and will not come back. Trump, like Reagan has bought us a few years. The Trump hiatus will be shorter than the Reagan pause because the Left is far more virulent and encompasses a far karger share if the population now. We have several generations of citizens who know no history and no literature. The public school system is not reformable and has taught generations nothing more than socialism and gimme. I don't think Mike Pence is the successor to Trump. I think somebody like Mike Pompeo (or maybe somebody we haven't even considered yet) will emerge.
