Yes. It is abundantly clear that the church is institutionally incapable of handling this problem. It needs to be turned over completely to law enforcement, with criminal charges, and incarceration upon conviction. Whether perp priests or colluding bishops, either or both. Lock them up.

Minor quibble, it’s capable of handling it. What is painfully obvious to me is that they don’t want to handle it. In fact they’ve actively resisted handling it. And, as some wise person once said, silence is assent.
