"death by organ donation occurs here in the US; the donation team is hot and heavy on potential donors/families, at what seems to be end of life"

That is the darker story we're being lead to, isn't it?

"More awful than we can imagine?"

Dark thought alert:

Is that the reason to push our society SO far, to NORMALIZE this business all the way to the point...

That whether or not to have a discussion about having an "Abortion" AFTER the BABY is BORN, can actually be being discussed on a National Level??!!

Just what is that discussion going to be about between the abortionist and the mother?

Final warning to skip this post!

Live baby organs have to be a lot more valuable than dead ones.

And Live babies, too. (We'll just say it was aborted.) (and it gets worse from there, but that's enough for my nightmare tonight.)

I don’t want an organ transplant if things go sour.

I believe everyone is alive when they harvest.

I wouldn’t want to be able to live due to someone else being tortured.

It would haunt me until the day I die.

Organs, when the blood supply is cut off, suffer ischemia (lack of oxygen) and the tissue dies (think heart attack, severing, clamping, etc); the reintroduction of blood (reperfusion) to an oxygen-deprived tissue is good, yes the tissue gets needed blood, oxygen and nutrients; however, reperfusion itself creates a cascade of inflammatory mediators being released, causing more tissue injury.

The longer an organ is deprived of blood flow, the greater the ischemic AND repefusion injury. That’s why transplanting organs from living donors is ideal —the organ has little damage. Transplanting an organ from an ice chest, not ideal.
