Obamas 2.9 was a result of when they chose to count the forced expenditures related to OBamacare... he never had any real growth byond low to mid 2...with most under 2

What a crock.. CNBC knows this too...

2.9% was the max for Obama in eight years. Trump has had two years.

Obama’s unemployment numbers were skewed by reducing the ranks of the unemployed using government jobs and liberalization of disability programs like SSI. Fewer people were unemployed because they were not counted as unemployed and even then they unemployment rate was high. Empirical observation shows that more people hare employed even in California where there are hardly any private businesses.

And, never mind, we have the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years and rising wages.

The only income group that gained under Obama was the top 10 percent.

You know it’s the strangest thing......as a consultant for banks and large companies, I noticed the job market sucked eggs long after the MSM told me we were in s recovery. Any “recovery” was nowhere to be seen for me. I had to take whatever projects I could get for whatever peanuts they cared to pay me. I was making less in 2016 than so had made in 2006.

There was a remarkable change that became very noticeable in the Fall of 2017. Suddenly I was getting to take my pick of multiple offers whenever I finished one project. My income has gone up steadily to the point that it’s a staggering 2/3rd higher than it was 2 years ago. But the MSM tells me the economy isn’t that good really! Oh and we’re headed for a slow down any day now. Honest!

Gosh, who to believe......them or my lyin’ eyes......

Written by John Harwood, formerly of the Wall Street Journal (whose editorial board called for “a five-word Constitutional amendment: ‘There shall be open borders’”), and after leaving there goes to the New York Slimes and of course CNBC. Real close with the Clintons too.

Obama loving media never talked about the participation rate.

Fake news CNBC?

2018 GDP growth came in at a solid 3.1%. Obozo never even came close to 3% for any year in his entire 8 years in office. Even the rabid Trump haters at Yahoo got it right.

“In the fourth-quarter, U.S. gross domestic product grew at an annualized rate of 2.6%, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Thursday’s report beat expectations, with consensus economists polled by Bloomberg looking for growth to slow to 2.2% during the final three months of the year. The domestic economy grew at a pace of 3.4% in the third quarter and 4.2% in the second quarter

Despite the softening in GDP in the fourth quarter, overall growth in 2018 was solid. Real GDP grew at a pace of 3.1% in 2018, measured from the fourth quarter of 2017 to the final quarter of 2018. This represented a stronger pace of annual growth than the 3% targeted by the Trump administration.”

The “Russia, Russia, Russia” narrative having crapped out, the MSM now moves on to the “Trump is going to destroy the economy” narrative.

Well gee, it took Obama 7 years (2008-2025), to get his peak 2.9. President Trump has been in office for two years, and has already reached that.

They should compare the growth rate of GDP over Obama’s eight years (1.88%) to the past two years of the Trump administration, which is 2.6%.

Don’t believe your lying paycheck... just listen to us, your betters.

These j@ck@$$es don't even want you listening to the fact that you have a paycheck. When BO left office, I was unemployed and eligible for food stamps.

I am now making over $70K annually and paying taxes rather than considering early retirement. My retirement savings, mostly because of stock market appreciation, but partly due to contributions, is worth $80K more than when BO left office . . . and it is invested VERY CONSERVATIVELY.

I'm not alone.

The article should be used as a item for study in the Gaslighting 101 course at the university.

“According on ONE major metric” meaning what? I’m not clicking through but we know the Fed raising interest rates was designed to slow growth and keep the economy from overheating. That’s why Trump was displeased.

Liars figure and figures lie.

Especially when done by Never Trumper bureaucrats.

I have made the same 174 mile trip every Monday morning for 12 years or so.

Start at 3:30 AM ending at 7:AM.

For the entire obummer administration the highways were almost deserted with a moderate amount of traffic from 6:00 AM on.

Now it is bumper to bumper beginning at 4:00 AM.

The truck stops have no parking spaces except on weekend holidays when manufacturing facilities are closed on Monday.

A couple of weeks ago, I chose a different route and drove I-85. The NCDOT rest area north of Raleigh on the north bound side had no parking spaces for trucks. Trucks were parked in the turn-in lane and the exit accelerate lane was full of parked trucks.

If you think things are no better, look at the number of trucks on the road and check on how desperate the trucking companies are for new drivers.

By the way, I do not drive a big truck for a living. I do pull a trailer long enough that I must stop at truck stops.

I repeat. Liars figure and figures lie.
