“Scrap” Aluminium [and Copper based Alloys] is still valuable.

Catalytic Converters and Stainless Steel are still winners too.

I can remember doing paper drives as a kid. I haven’t seen any of those in a while.

Glass and everything else is a loser. Recycling has been a net loser for decades, but it makes people feel good, so we persist.

Some years ago, our t.v. which was referred to as a Triniton stopped working. So, hubby took it to the local donation place and they were so happy to see it. It seems that the parts of the t.v. were worth more than the whole. They told him that they were always happy to get one of these as they made a lot of money on them. Hubby was surprised.
