I expect terror but not much pain. At that speed, they’re dead before the pain receptors kick in.

My dad repeatedly gives me a hard time about my fear of flying. I can’t explain how my mind plays out a horrific scene of the moments before impact with every turbulence that jerks the plane. This story just strengthens my resistance to flying.

I love to fly - in my buddy’s stunt plane pulling Gs. I absolutely hate to fly commercial. (aka cattle car) I only fly when my job requires it. I’ve pretty much sworn off ever flying for “pleasure” again.
