In the ooooold days we used to joke “Windows: your 386 will fly like a 286 running DOS”.
And that’s the truth too... Every time I increased hardware speed MS filled that void with more UNNEEDED bloat slowing it right back down again. My wife’s new laptop with Win 10 runs as slow as my 286 used to run.
