Just curious - what happened to Pookie Toons? I miss reading those every day.
Was Pookie a Media Matters/AOC target?
According to a post/thread on the 6th:

I also wonder. I am a monthly subscriber to FR, and Pookie’s Toons played a roll in my decision to do so. I doubt that I am alone. We need a real explanation and an honest answer about the whether they will be returning.
Hope Pookie returns soon. It has been a long time to be Pookie free.

Pookie gave us the real answer, that his computer crashed. By his estimated “get-well” time, maybe we will see The Return of Pookie’s Toons” sometime next week.
Same here, WebTV way back in the day.
Lucky9teen said she wasn’t going to do it anymore, for whatever reason, and she hasn’t posted here in a year and a half. Others have tried to revive it, but it never caught on.
Sounds like a great example of why you need to tend your backup systems.
Today's Toons is not an official part of FR. Pookie18 is a member but he posts the toons on another website with a link.
He's been on here a couple of times already to explain that his PC hard drive crashed and he is awaiting a new PC. Then it needs to be formatted so he can continue to post his toons. Last time he wrote, he said he hoped that would be happening this weekend.
BTW, you don't need to be a member of FR to follow Today's Toons Monday through Friday because they are posted on another website besides FR.
But thanks for your FR donation anyway.
We should be busy enough, our cartoon alarm clock doesn’t go off or goes unnoticed.
we need a support group. I’m Jonesin pretty hard over here.
