Two golden retrievers in North Carolina have taken social media by storm for their uniquely pawesome bond.
Best friends. Earlier this year, Chelsea and Adam Stipe adopted Maverick, a 4-month-old pup, to provide companionship and support for their blind 11-year-old dog, Charlie, who lost his eyesight to glaucoma and, eventually, a double enucleation, NBC Philadelphia reports.
Welcoming Maverick into their home on New Years Day 2019, the Stipes say that the elder canine was initially skeptical of the rambunctious junior, though he has since warmed up to accept his very own "seeing-eye puppy as part of the family.

Sweet.
If everybody in the world had a golden retriever there would be no wars.

THE MORE I GET TO KNOW SOME PEOPLE THE MORE I LOVE MY DOG
Aww.
Dogs are so amazing!
Cool story... We have a bind dog. She lost her sight from diabetes. You would never know though, She can follow voices real well and has her normal surroundings down pat.
Thank you!
We used to have 2 cats that had that relationship.
The older one (24yo) didn’t see very well and was almost deaf.
The younger one (15yo) took care of his friend. Defended him against dogs and other cats, and would even lead him to his favorite napping place by a clump of lilacs.
I have one now. To see my doggies, click on my name.
(We load up in that truck and go for a walk in the woods, every day.)
